Why use a CMS?
September 12, 2014
So why use a CMS? For those that don’t know, CMS stands for Content Management System. It’s a way of adding and changing new posts, page content, images, videos, basically anything you could have on a webpage. So, why use a CMS?
Many people use websites with a CMS called Wordpress. In my opinion this is the best on the market, and many people would agree. They are able to manage their own websites without even contacting us to make small changes, from adding images to an image gallery, all the way up to adding whole pages and styles to their websites.
WordPress websites allow the use of plugins which are easy to install pieces of software, allowing the user to add powerful functionality to their site in a matter of minutes. One such example is a contact form. A contact form will usually take anything up to a day to make from scratch, even for seasoned developers in the industry. However, with the use of WordPress plugins such as Contact Form 7 it’s a 1 minute copy and paste job, and this benefit reaches you because people like me charge clients accordingly.
Best of all, WordPress is free!
